Some points from the last two years

Some of these I have shown before. They were mostly all found in the last year or two. I have not found anything much lately so I just wanted to post something.

Thanks everyone. The Hopewell (to the right of the Heavy Duty in the second pic) was found in two pieces on the same day. The tip is not broken but, worked into a rounded tool tip. A week later i found both pieces of a Harrodsburg sidenotched point in the same day. That particular point is interesting because there is a signicficant difference in color and patination between the two halves..........anciently broken for sure. Also, without thinking, we photographed the "bad" side of my Dove. The better side can be seen in my avatar. Thanks again and happy hunting.

Thanks everyone. I just wish I found artifacts of that quality more often. The fact is, for me, it just does not happen every time I go out............or even once every three times.

Steve coming from YOU that sure is a compliment. Your collection is certainly one of the most impressive personally found collections that I have ever had the pleasure of viewing. By the way........your pipe is killer.

That black Lowe/Hopewell is as good as I have seen anyone find, what an awesome piece brother. The Dovetail is the more rare and is equally nice. All in all not a bad two years, how many people find heavy duty's?

Love seeing all the nice Ohio stuff. Keeps my hopes up that there is a site like that around here. The black Hopewell is my favorite, but the Dove is a dandy too!!

I will dig out some of my nice finds and start a post on them for ya. I cant turn down a request to show off some of my better finds. I have not been hunting as long as alot of the folks on this forum, but I have found some nice pieces in the 13 years I have been doing this. I dont buy points , so everything in my collection is personally found. May not make for the best collection , but at least I know they are authentic. One of my favorite fields is done up and waiting on rain so maybe I will get a chance to add to the collection soon.
