Some pretty cool finds today

[clump63]

Hello everybody, havn't posted in a while but got out today with sis and enjoyed this awesome weather here in Indiana. Found some pretty neat stuff.

First is a buggy tag that came out in three pieces, says THE PEABODY BUGGY CO. FOSTORIA OHIO. This is my second buggy tag since I started detecting.

Second is an old bracelet that I dug at about 8 in. Couldn't find the missing piece.

next, a five cent token

next is an Indiana state seal medalion that rang up as a quarter on the DFX

a Lava soap token

a 27 Merc

and a couple pics of stuff I found last week

MENTER store token, very rough 1889 IH

belt buckle, lipstick, lighter

TreasureTal & Clump 63,

Thanks for that info. That what I was thinking but obviously I wasn't sure. I didn't realize they tagged buggy's back in the day. That is what is great about this site...learn something new everyday.

TreasureTal - How did your sister & her husband come to acquiring that Studebaker buggy?? That is pretty neat. Just curious.

The buggy had belonged to a country doctor. He died and it was passed down through 4 generations of his family. The last owner decided it was too cumbersome to move so it was given to my sister and her husband. They have not restored it yet, but it is in pretty good condition considering it's about 120 years old. To look at the buggy, it's hard to believe how much smaller people were back then.

That's enough for a shadowbox nice display.

Was there a lot of trash in the area? The place I'm digging has tons of it. I wish I could find a "buggy tag".

Great stuff.

That is a really sweet looking bracelet, looks really old,if that is an emerald its sure is a big one. Havent ever seen a buggy tag displayed on here before. I live in Indy and this has truly been a wonderful winter so far, maybe old man winter is planning on breaking out the lash on us in another week or so but hopefully not...Shoot
