Some recent finds: Civil war goodies, bullets, brass oil can for CW rifles and more.

Haven't been able to detect a lot recently because of work, but I haven't posted my finds from my last few hunts so thought I'd do so. Not gonna go into much detail. Found quite a few CW bullets, a couple GS eagle buttons, part of the lead sabot from a Hotchkiss shell, an iron bell, 1890 IH and a fully intact brass oil can that was used for the rifles. Hopefully I will get back out soon! HH!

Your guess is as good as mine, Quindy. It was found in the same hole as the GS eagle button.

Nice going Matt. Glad to see you're still able to get out. That's a decent sized pile of CW finds although I think I see a tombac in one of the pics. You must be hunting that same site.

Yep. The tombac and there's also a large dandy there in the one pic. Colonial and CW items mixed in at this particular area of the field. I think I finally located the house site or where some sort of building was. There's a large section of iron. Dandy button was in the hole with a nail.
