If you have not seen this before there is alot lot of information in these books on Michigan. It might take awhile to look through them, but it might be worth your time. Go into goole books and type in "Michigan pioneer and historical society". These books date from the 1800's to the early 1900's. Most of the information is about the history of southern lower Michigan. I think you can find lots of clues for places to metal detect. Just thought it would be something to look at instead of the snow.

Happy researching.

thanks friend and a BIG welcome to the Forum !!!!!!!

Hello, Mich. Wolverine,

Welcome to Tnet forum. This is a great place for a lot of interesting reading with pics to see. If you have any questions, just ask. You will always receive some answers. Lots of friendly and helpful people here.
I have lots of reading material right now but I plan to check out this site of yours. It looks to be pretty helpful
with clues to new places to hunt.

Wishing you good hunting through the coming year.

Sandman,

I thought it was illegal to hunt in amusement parks in Mich, but evidently it's not. Thanks for the info.

Thanks for the welcome everyone. I've been metal detecting for 15 yrs. and bottle hunting for 20. I've had displays in the local historical museum and library. For me it's about preserving the history of the town that I live in. Good luck to everyone this year.
Thanks
Wolverine.
