Some Silver For Me and First Silver for a Friend

Hey everyone,

I've gotten out for a few short hunts in the last week but haven't managed more than some wheats.

My buddy told me about a town of 1000 people a couple hours outside Seattle where his father's family still owns some land. It's a neat little town. There are streets and buildings named after his extended family. We made the trek out there yesterday to see if we could turn anything up.

We started at a couple of his family members houses from the 1920s. I landed a couple tax tokens and a wheat but we were pretty defeated after a few hours there. The yard was super trashy.

We broke for lunch and went to a park with a swimming hole for a while. It was incredibly trashy. Buried cans everywhere. We gave up on that and decided to hit a school before leaving town.

I'm super glad we did. One of my first hits there was a 37-D Merc. Not too long after my buddy got his first silver coin ever, a 43-S war nickel.



We only had an hour there before needing to head home but we made the most of it. The majority of the items in the photos below came from our time at the school.

Thanks! I'm not sure on the specifics of the area I was hunting but I can't imagine its earlier than the 20s.
