A couple weeks ago I got into a pretty sweet dime box. Popped out 7 silvers; four were mercs, 2 were rosies, and one 1839 seated dime. The seated is super worn, but I'm not complaining, never expected I would hit a seated.
Today I picked up a $200 bag o nicks from a coin counter, dumped them out on the floor to see if I could spot any good ones, found the 1859 20 Rappen first, my first foreign non-canadian silver. Then I found the 1884 V-nick, nice semi-key date, nice details, but has environmental damage, oh well, my first V so I'm stoked! Couple seconds later I spotted the 1901 V-nickel, nice! Normally I only get the dimes, nickels, and cents off this counter, but I might have to get the quarters this go round in case something sweet is hiding in there. Suprisingly no buffalo's. Haven't really searched the nicks yet, so I don't know if there are any War nicks, didn't spot any though.
Haven't posted in ages, but I had to share these finds. New work hours keep me from hitting the banks as often as I used to, but I still do 5 dime boxes and 1 nickel box/week.
HH!!
