Here is a picture of the end of it. Another clue on this one is that it was found near where a barn was b/c my friend found a horseshoe, axe head, and boot spur.

As previously stated. A barrell tap key. Google it. They locked the beer & other drinks taps to stop people taking it.

Sure is a barrel tap key! Thanks for the link! It looks exactly like one listed on that site and dates from the late 19th century. Thanks for all your help everyone,
