Metal Detecting
Beautiful weather this weekend up on my Adirondack Mountain property in upstate New York to do a little metal detecting. In a dried up stream bed down below I found what I believe to be a 100+ year old toy cast iron horse drawn trolley, or possibly a railroad car, lodged under a large rock. Down a ways further where the stream runs under an old Delaware/Hudson railroad line I found several pieces of iron railroad artifacts. High up on the mountain I managed to find an old buckle (also under a large rock), a file, and an old iron rope/chain guide all probably left from loggers years ago. 1.webp2.webp3.webp4.webp5.webp6.webp7.webp8.webp70478540_10205884127660509_4146778782415454208_n.webp70903082_10205886829888063_931376890931838976_n.webp

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Very nice. I like that Trolley / Railroad car. That's a very nice relic.

nice finds that spot looks like there could be some hidden Loot close by

Below the file on the right is part of a cable choker for yarding logs.

Looks like a good trip and some cool finds. See any good buck sign in the area? Nothing better than humpin' the ridges. Congrats!

Thats so cool that cart would be in my trunk, and I would have sent my Son into the mine to make sure it was safe to go into lol Great post and pics Thanks

Thanks for the ID of the cable choker Madmox. Knew it was from logging but not what it was called.

Nice hunt & some cool relics, really like that buckle & RR car, looks like a great detecting & hunting spot, congrats & HH
