That they had repaired at the jeweler. I also took mine for repair, and, as the cost may exceed the value of my matchsafe, I can look at it without any regrets.

Did the CW Buttons & Bullets come out of Indiana?

Yes, everything in this picture was found in Evansville. And I will apologize for the 90* pic, as in my file the photo was correctly oriented, but after transferring the file there was no option to rotate.
 
Well done...that was AQUA who had his match safe restored...

That is beautiful - I'd love to see a little closer shot of it - looks to be 1890's - 1910 with all that floral decoration - Nice !
