Someone Is Dumping Other Things In The Coin Cointers

I've seen things pulled out of coin counters that would make a person cringe.

One time, my regular coin counter was jammed up by (of all things) a bullet.

HH,
cuttybce

that counters at my banks are designed so that they NEVER EVER jam...not even once...but ive seen some crazy ass stuff pulled from the internal reject tray in those counters...here are a few examples:

1. on many occasions dollar bills...once even a $5.00 bill, the teller thot it was mine and gave it to me ;D (yes, i told him it wasnt mine, but he said keep it anyway).
2. ball point pen
3. 'Tums' anti-acid tablets
4. someones credit card and ID at one time.
5. a container of 0.7mm mechanical pencil lead...still FULL and ALL pieces were intact :icon_scratch:
6. small flashlight
7. bullets like mentioned above
8. on various occasions, there will be hand fulls of cigarette ashes...someone must dump their ash tray in because there is probably change in among the ashes...
9. sticks of gum
10. nails (metal nails, the ones you hammer, not on your hands haha)
11. many paper-clips
12. many various pieces of jewelry
13. keys
14. buttons galore
15. WWWWWAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY too many foreign coins, medallions, plastic coins, tokens, bent US money, and stuck together coins to even think about!

and like i said, thats only a small fraction of what ive seen...keep it up and hh! [R.I.P. Rich Hartford]

Im sometimes a little wary of sticking my hand in the coinstar reject trays often the coins are gooey or sticky with who knows what kind of disgusting crap. I always wash with soap and hot water after

Recently I watched 2 tellers take apart their coin counter, because something jammed it. Keep in mind that it had been serviced by a repairman the week before. Anyway on this model they removed the top cover and a shallow dish/drum about 24 inches wide. Under that, there was all sorts of junk that they had to remove.

Once had a teller mention her strangest find was someones tooth.

Maybe its just in my area, But About everyother time I dump coins, there are a bunch of Pot seeds in and around the counter..But I did manage a 14k earring backing...right at .01 grams :laughing9: :laughing9:
