how could a 1954 half penny end up at the same depth as a uk modern 2p same site about 2 feet apart similar weights size

soil density --vs coin density --similar size and weight of coin settles to a common density level in the soil - once there it stops - or if a plowed /replowed are --things just get churned and mixed haphazardly --no rhyme or reason to it.

I find 100+ year old stuff on top of the ground and modern coins four inches down in the same areas... I stopped wondering why or how.

What they said..... OR.... they were both dropped at near the same time?
