I've been hunting along these last few days. Mostly just clad, but I expect that from school yards. I did find a couple of "wheat fields" though. LOL So, the finds were keeping me interested and happy.

So, why oh WHY, did I decide to go try a cornfield today!?! Don't I hurt enough already!? ;)

Anyway, after 3 hours out there stumbling, bumbling along, here's the take:

This place is still one of the most diversified in ammo! :)

The tops seem strange.

I thought this little white doohickey was lead. But it's not, it's magnetic. The two holes go all the
way through.

Back plate off something I suppose. Was really deep down, non-magnetic, but there's nothing on it. :dontknow:

A 1913 whole wheat toast.

I thought this was just a piece of crap sitting on top.
Once I located it and knocked a bit of mud I saw it was probably an old button.
I could see where the stem used to be. It wasn't until I got it home and picked off some
more mud on the other side that I saw it actually had a design. I have no clue if
it means anything, I don't know my buttons.

Made the time interesting anyway. LOL

Thanks for the visit!

Now I need to sleep! LOL

Wow, great finds! That's a pretty decent haul for 3 hours, and that lizard button is cool! Congrats and HH!

Interesting finds. I've never seen that pattern of button.

Congratulations:hello2:

...pain...take two aspirin and admire your finds.

No pain no gain.
Cool finds.

any scars on the rev of the plate, looks to be a horse blinker

Nothing that I could make out, Cru. It appears pretty much the same on both sides. There's a little green patina in spots. :dontknow:

The thing is pretty well constructed though. Not thin. I can't even bend it by hand. I might try some brute force clean up to see if it shows anything.

HH!
