SONGS THAT BRING YOU BACK.

These guys all bring me back to the Sunset strip...1983. Mötley Crüe, Quiet Riot, Ratt, L.A. Guns, Dokken, Kix, and Lita Ford at The Whiskey a Go Go and The Roxy
The Whisky a Go Go and The Roxy. I was attending GIT (Guitar Institute of Technology)

Worked in a shop a while customizing.
Cut plywood panels to roll and tuck carpet for doors and puff boards.

Never Z-bricked one though!
The wall to bed was plywood covered in Z-Brick on both sides with a burnt pine archway opening, bed was 6" button tuck and covered in sheepskin and deer skins. Walls were buce paneling with 3" insulation, floor was carpet.

Door panels, overhead T-console and dash cap was red western cedar over plywood then trimmed in 3/4" Hemp rope.

Had Jensen 6x9 3 way speakers in both back and up front.

It was my rolling hotel rooms.

Overhead consoles..

Guy wasn't there anymore but the story remained of his running screws through the roof putting a console in.
Described as looking like antennas...

I forget the brand (Chevy) that had a wire in the top of the passenger side (?) rear door.
A good wire to miss when running screws.

One already custom van was shopping furniture.
Point of no return album cover type painting on it's side.
Salesman (owners son) had set a table or chair or something in the van for the potential buyer to look at and next thing he knew the van was gone. (Dummy!)

One old gent had us put a solid top on for head clearance.
A conservative approach over time but he ended up with a go anywhere off grid within reason outfit. Beyond the top it was very low key.

The steel cut outs scrap panels from window installs I used for my truck cab rusted out floor repair. And some other repairs.
Foam I insulated a couple attics with. Forget where the boss acquired so many bags of foam cut outs. Indiana where we picked up parts and custom orders ect. on weekly runs maybe.
