Souris River Fur Trade Artifacts

My dad found these a while back at the site of Fort Grant(Hudson Bay Company) near present day Hartney, Manitoba, Canada.
A button, awl, metal arrowhead and an iron nail

Cool looking button is it trade silver ??

Not too sure if the button is silver. It could be brass. It says "double gilt" on it... Whatever that means.

petsnazspetsnaz, those are some very cool finds, The silver button looks like some kind of military button, But I have very limited knowledge with buttons. The awl is what they call a "lighting awl" it is a trade item. The metal arrowhead was made by the Indian tribe of the region(Not a trade point). Square nails, I do not have any working knowledge on origin, my guess it was made by black smith's in the region, but that is only a guess.
