I live in brownsville texas and noticed some others on here from the local area. I would like to hear from people in the south texas areas and possibly look into forming a local club.

I think forming a club is an excellent idea there is enough of us in the area to do so. For sometime we have had something of a scattered informal group going but I think it would be great to organize it. I started a group just for the reason of folks in our area getting together so we could meet one another and get together to hunt. www.southtxmetaldetectors.com

I would love to take the project on myself but I work a lot of hours and am out of town a lot, other than that I will pitch in as much as I can.

I am a novice of the greatest order, and like anyone else I am always working it seems, but I would love to get togather with someone of the same intrest. I am not going to be around Wed through Thursday 7.00 pm, but I am back Sunday. Just let me know and I would love to get to gather and shoot the breeze and make some plans for detecting. I am also from Brownsville and think the club idea is great. I have not posted very much here but I do go MDing almost every weekend. Brownsville is can be a hard area to find good spots but I have a few to check out. I would like to go to rio bravo or other northern parts of the valley sometime.

A club sounds great! I'm from Edinburg and have beed up and down to the Mansfield cut many times.
