Latest finds. A very nice Henry VIII hammered silver Sovereign penny, Durham mint, Bishop Tunstall 1530-44, should clean up well. A cut quarter short cross 1180-1272. A 17th century clothes fastener, one of these was recently posted, found in the states. a small Medieval buckle and chap (or could be from a Medieval purse). And a tiny weight.

Robert.

Excellent finds.

Nice Sovereign penny Rob, I have had two of them, both came in the same day 20 yards apart, thought I was on a spill.:laughing7:

:icon_thumleft: Nice Penny and weight!

Nice finds Rob, did you find out anything about the French coin you found a while back?

& a medicine weight....

Yes, gotta like those seated profiles...

Nice find.
My how the times have changed. No silver in any coin much less a penny, heck we don't even produce a penny any more.

Congrats on the great finds and thanx for the good pix too! Best of luck in the new year and HH....

Nice find on the Henry VIII, Rob! Be sure & post a picture of it when you get it cleaned.........

Great finds. I found one of those clothing hooks at my old USA site last month. Now I just need an English hammered coin to go with it.

Yes I remember Cross Potent, had a few over the years, the best being silver.

Yes the one being either a patard ore an ecu, it didn't look to good.
