Hello Members/Guests...
How does a Spanish Cob forum sound?
People could ask for help or info concerning this subject if they "choose".
It would be open to all...and your choice to post in it.
I know many people collect them, find them...but many may not know much about them.
The site could helpful in identification, suspect cobs, whatever one may want to know about them.

We all may learn a thing or two about this fascinating coinage from everyone in here who either collects it, finds it, sells it, buys it, or just enjoys it.

Your thoughts ???

Trez, When I show my cob coins to people most don't even think they are real coins. That tells me how litle is known about them.

Point taken.....
I see it here in this forum often...
It is one of the most interesting areas of historical coinage and has so much historical value...I am glad not many follow it.

Do you know where we got our $ sign from?

my answer is: do you see a $ sign?

PS> This coin came off the 1715 Fleet...
What is the date of this particular cob? The date is not visible but there is a clue...do you see it?
