Just weren't in the cards for me this past weekend :dontknow:

I don't want to wait until December this year to find my first Spanish silver of the year like I did last year. I have a 7 year streak of finding at least one Spanish silver, so I hit a couple older (but well pounded) sites hoping to squeeze one out. I did get some 18th century buttons and cuff links, but no 18th century coins.

I also have been on somewhat of a marble streak lately. This time it was a clay marble in one of my holes.

It's hard enough to find a linked pair of cuff links, so it's a big letdown when there is no design on them.

Now why would someone ruin a perfectly good button?

Sorry for the trick to get y'all to look. I promise I won't do it again :laughing7:

Hi, no Spanish silver yet, but still nice old finds. Congrats:icon_thumright:

Nice hunt, congrats on the IHP & buttons & cuff links, nice saves

Ain't nuffin rong whit dem viddles, Steve! Looks like some mighty nice saves to me!

1867 is a semi key date, you could probably trade that for a decent Spanish real or half real. Way to go!

Maybe if it looked like this 1869 someone would trade me.

Nice finds......Keep at it!

I think the “Luck” factor is not mentioned enough on Tnet. Sure there is research, equipment and experience, but I would take a “Lucky” hole any day of the week. Your next sweet small tight hightone could be another piece of the elusive Spanish. Until then, congrats on your finds from the weekend!

Nice IHP! I really like the cufflinks. Congrats! :icon_thumleft:

regardless of your trickery those are some nice finds. Definitely all indicators that Spanish silver and coppers lurk just around the corner

still pretty cool finds, the Spanish silver will hopefully come to you. Me, I doubt I will find any around here but only time will tell

Ha Ha, you got me on the Spanish Silver. Although IMO you don't need to get more people to look by embellishing the title. Your finds historically are worthy of checking every post that you make and I think many would agree. Unless this was some sort of a test or study to see how many people would look when lured by your title?

Thanks for the kind words, I thought I would try a little trickery to get people to look. I have a weird sense of humor I guess :laughing7:
