Spanish Silver and Something Else!

Went back to the Rev War site where I found the coin weight a few days ago and struck silver! A pretty worn Carolus III half reale (17. It's turning out to be a pretty promising site and although it has been hunted before, good signals are still there! Also found a weird copper piece. Help me ID it please! Here's the pictures. Looks like Brass to me, some kind of furniture hardware, but haven't got a positive ID.

Sweet silver. The other item might be part of the butt end of an old flintlock pistol.

Congrats on the Spanish Silver find! I was thinking like relic lover in that the (copper) probably Brass piece is part of the butt end of a flintlock pistol. Also, there are a few flintlock rifles from the Colonial times that might had a buttplate from which the piece came from (i.e. the top where it goes up over the top of the butt portion of the stock).
