Spanish Silver in My neck of the woods?!?!

Man the whole winter has been terrible these last two months. Haven't been able to do any form of hunting in a while. I did manage to get to the antiques store to buy some cool bottles. I'll have to post those later. But the highlight today was helping an older gentleman rennovate a room in his house. While cleaning out the room, I came across a box that had a lock on it. I asked what it was and he decided to open it. It was his coin collection that he regularly adds to. As payment he said I could have any coin. I passed up a gold coin and chose something more unique. Spanish silver!!!

Okay okay. I did help the gentleman but he didn't pay me in coins. I wish. He had an awesome collection. Haha no it was all pure service. As a reward well done, I did go splurge at the local coin shop and bought a graded Spanish 2 Reales from Bolivia. I'm happy with it. It's very unique. And it definitely satisfied the itch for hunting until the snow goes away.

Interesting cob. Graded and everything. I actually dug a 2 reale Potosi mint cob here in Pennsylvania. Here is a pic of mine. If you don't mind me asking, what did you pay for that? You can PM me if you want to.

I bought it for 150$ because I managed to work it down from 165$. I was looking at some coins that were 8 reales that were certified shipwreck but I didn't have 600+$ for it lol. But I like my little coin it's unique.

I got this response when I posted mine in the Cob forum back in 2010. One guy said $45, but I always believed somewhere in the $100-200 range.

I tried looking mine up and it seems like as with any other coin there are more rare dates than others. In vf30, the lowest I could find was 85$. But I also couldn't find my date.
