Spanish silver triple play!

Back to the navy button hole for another morning dig. I decided to focus on the mound that used to me the house site. Man am I ever glad I did!! I dug a few crusty coppers and some tombac buttons. They are all plain unfortunately. Now, for the silver. The first signal was a weird one. First target out of the hole was a homemade fishing sinker, then a nail, then a 1738 one reale! Next up was a nice 1758 2 reales, again, shrouded with iron. Finally, I got a beautiful clean tone under a dead tree. Out pops a 1774 2 reales!!! This is my second best Spanish hunt ever! Can't wait to go back and dig some more.

It will be well worth it! You’ll be amazed all of the good targets that are being missed. Then add in all of the pipe stems and bowls, ceramics and other great non metallics and you will have a blast. Find the trash pit or privy and you’ll really be into the good stuff. Phenomenal hunt pal

Thanks everyone! Still searching for some spring steel to build a privy probe. If we get permission to do some digging, that will be our focus for the rest of the summer. I'm more excited than a kid at Christmas! It's funny, I think I am happier with these 3 reales than I am with the reales in my banner find. It's the age that blows my mind, and the design. The old ones almost resemble a hammered silver. I'm drawn to them lol. Again, thank you all for looking and commenting. Stay tuned for more from this site!

Wow! I bet that's a once in a lifetime hunt! Just finding on single real on a hunt is fantastic but you dug 3 of them in one hunt almost one after another! That's rare!
