And the British Royal Artillery, and the Rev War King's American Regiment!


Today was the Fall kickoff for Ironhorse and myself. I have quite a bit of research done for us to work off of in the coming weeks, and I'm sure some sites will be good, and plenty not so good... but today was about hitting a couple of old favorite sites, and they did not disappoint. Ironhorse got on the board first, which is not a surprise because he has stolen... and I do say stolen! lol all the best buttons from this site, but I did manage to grab myself an early Artillery, and then finally got on the good button list. What's special about this button is not only is it off a Rev War officer's coat, we know who that officer is! So a great start, and back at it again tomorrow.

Yes I think my book lists them as early as 1785, but this one is a little different and I think dates a short time after that.

I've seen so many variants, I've often wonder about the sequence.(assuming they are not contemporary) Interesting to hear 1785, I thought 1790-95, thanks.
