I haven't been out detecting for a while and I was getting a bit of cabin fever, so I grabbed the camera, gave Benson a whistle and went for a walk today. When I got to my favorite field it looked like it was covered in water, it was shining and shimmering, the sun was winter low, the temp was cool, but it looked like a heat haze on the field. Then I realised, the haze was caused by the gentle breeze causing the fine spiders webs to move and look like a haze. But these were not webs, just single strands, billions of them over 25 plus acres. The pictures don't do them justice, but I've added a few bird pics from this afternoon to make up
