SPOOKY FIND AT THE BEACH,,,, A FIRST FOR ME.

I went for a quick spin this morning about 2 hours didn't get much, But I did find this Florida Mortuary tag .. Really different. Just wondering if anyone has ever found anything like that before .. Not a bad hunt for 2 hours . Beach is sanded in big time,,, Will try tomorrow.. Guzz1...

oh I'd have to find out more info on that tag, it would drive me nuts till I knew...was it someones ashes put out to sea? or who knows... but I sure wanna know..lol....

Not sure where you found it, but isn't Sarasota about 60 miles from Tampa?

I'd check with the phone number on the above website. My thinking is that it is probably a tag that was in the urn or attached to it.

I know some guys who think they are bad luck to keep. They call them "swimmers" and usually toss them back into the sea.

Yea that would be Sarasota , It all makes sense now, A lot people release the ashes of there relatives and friends out to sea. I have about 4-5 friends out there myself . Thanks for posts ,,,,Guzz1

I throw them all back.....creepy!! the bad luck thing too!! Take a photo to id it...some guys have found the same tag 2x!! Max in Va Beach I think has!!

i found one last year and was not sure what it was until a friend told me what it was. i emailed the crematory to try and get info and they never replied. forgot all about it until i seen this thread. i do not believe in good or bad luck things, but the last year has been the worst year of my life. I'm trying to find it now so i can get rid of it in the morning. will post a pic if i find it.

I don't think Max has a good arm , I didn't hear about Max finding the same one twice but I did hear about a guy who found one a week or 2 ago that Max threw back the day before!

I have found a few at siesta over the years....

I hunt there when I'm down there in May every year and I have found 2 or three in that time....yeah....I throw them back too....Siesta is a beautiful place to inter someone's remains (ashes) I'm sure this will be one of many you will find there....HH....Brian

Hey Glenn , Thanks for heads up on that tag ,, Its been bugging me all night . It would crazy if it belong to one of my buddies that's laid to rest out there . Before it go's back I'm gonna do the right thing and say a few words for this soul who ever he or she is ... Guzz1

My "Lil" Momma's family has a special place they scatter the ashes.At the beach, on our beautiful coast. ( IMA has posted pics of the spot,lol).

I don't know what they do with the tags though. I have my Momma, her paperwork and tag. Not ready to let her go............(6 yrs).



When I do, I'll keep the tags(from both), put the ashes in a tiny basket, attached to Helium balloons. Let them go together!

I know I wouldn't like to get a call saying,"um, I found your tag".MPO

maybe they liked or hated metal detecting. --- bad ju ju to keep sumpin like that --like keeping "part of a body"

I have found 4 or 5 over the past years. I take a pic, then send them back to the sea as far out as I can throw it.
