Yes they have refs (did you see the guys strapped with six-shooters). This was in Calaveras county California.

Mark Twain was in Angel's Camp, CA and heard of the "Celebrated jumping frogs of Calaveras County". I was also there yesterday. Did not see the jumping. The winners (frogs) get a bronze plaque embedded in the sidewalk of Angel's Camp, just like the Hollywood "stars". Instead of a star, they get an outline of a frog! TTC

Hi Terry, That would have been a different afternoon, watching something like that. Fun. I remember reading that
book by Mark Twain when I was a little shaver in school. It was one of the ones that I made a book report on.

Does the frogs look like squashed roadkill?
