I've been eyeing up some spots around the metro. I got a bit of history on some places and I'm about to knock the dust and dried mud off the cz and warm it up by pulling some shallow coins before the wooded areas thaw out. Oh how exciting. This year I'm going to focus on gaining more permissions to private lands and hitting up some western farm fields.

Summer is getting closer. The temp got to 71 degrees in the St Cloud area today. Did any of you attend the metal detecting and gold panning show in Coon Rapids Saturday? It was a blast and well attended. I traveled 130 miles round trip to attend it and well worth it.

I didn't know about it either! Next year I suppose. I did, however find my first indian head of the year. My research panned out. I'll be heading back as I only hunted about an hour.

Nice! I still haven't found anything but clad for coins. Hoping one day soon to find something pre 1960 at least.

I went. Haha. My sisters yard for an hour or so. Found two roseys and a war nickel plus 5 wheats from 46 to 53. I'm heading out to Utah tomorrow for work I'll be back Friday. See if I can't try my luck out there
