Wow Brother Small world. I was with the crew that Built Area 51 with the SOF guys, other than that I did lots of cashe disposal all over the country. Do you remember what plt. they were in? We definitely need to get together and swing our coils and maybe knock back a few.

Dude, Olson was there too. He tells stories of the piles of ordinance you guys were dumping out of 5 ton dumps and blowing that stuff every day. I'll have to ask him what platoon. He's my partner in crime for detecting. They sent us up to the Korengal to help build up camp blessing and then out to Kandahar to clear mine lines with the pss-14. Agreed. I'll figure out something. Maybe meet at the VFW. Where are you out of?

Knocking on doors and getting permission from the people that live in the house doesn't seem to be good enough for some people.

Me and the Greaser were making a few swings in a yard where we had permission to hunt. I know the tenant and the home owner. It wasn't 10 minutes in and the federales showed up.... I asked if I could help him. Barney Fife said he got a call from someone that people were F-ing around in someones yard. Hmmmm..... broad daylight, swinging metal detectors, in the front yard.... wonder what they could be doing.

That's the kind of action the cops have to deal with in Moose Lake, MN. Probably pissed off the cop because he had to put down his doughnuts and porn. It's good to know that people are looking out for one another.... to bad that some of these same people only have a few working brain cells.

Hahaha! A friend and I have had similar police interactions. Been escorted out of town once. Another time we were told metal detecting was illegal everywhere by the police and that we weren't allowed to use them anywhere. I don't know why people hate us so much...

I got kicked out of a park in Rockwell city iowa. Was digging a hole and the cop walked right up on me scared the hell out of me. He said it was illegal. Really nice guy, but I was like wtf? Second time ever kicked out of a park

The good thing for us is its such a small town we could probably dig up city hall now and they would just assume we have permission. Lol

I was totally amused..... especially the next time we hit the yard.... the Greaser comes up, "Hey how ya doing over here?" Swings his coil once and tones a old token.... swings it again and tones a Tootsie Toy car. I'm going to speed cherry-pick all the good areas before he gets there next time. I got two places on Soo Hill lined up. The old Hill Top and the old Foltz house. Lots of ground to cover at each place.
