:hello: WHATEVER theory a person holds about the Beale Treasure, St. Louis, MO "fits" in. It is mentioned in the ORIGINAL "BP"; "connected" to the French Connection, even the "players" of the CONFEDERATE WAR have a "connection". THEN, there is a theory of "BT" first being in Lynchburg, Va., taken to a cave in Abert, Va... THEN, "on-loaded" to a PACKET BOAT, up the James River, several OTHER rivers (with some "over-land"), ending up in the St. Loius, MO "area". TJB Diary COULD be "dated" TRUTHFULLY from the CONFEDERATE WAR, "fall" of Richmond, Va.; Lynchburg, Va. was the LAST state capital city of VIRGINIA. "Richmond Stores" were bought WEST to Lynchburg, Va. as the Yanks approached, and a WAGON "load" was last seen high-tailing up the mountains WEST of Lynchburg, Va. We think it was part of the CSA Treasury taken up to the Abert, Va. cave (OLD Trent Ferry Road), then taken out at some point and "on-loaded" a PACKET BOAT, heading up the James River. Looking for OTHER connections; Lexington, Va. (VMI), etc., on to St. Louis, MO. Jesse James & OAK (KGC) may even have been involved. :hello2: 8-)
