I went back to the place where I got my gold coin a few months ago. I spent about 5 hours trying to sniff out something good and it paid off. The first find was a 1916 penny followed by the Rosie. Later I found another penny dated 1917 followed by a silver disk that I couldn’t read but turned out to be my second seated dime 1872. The last good signal was the standing liberty with no date which was laying on the top but blended with the sorroundings. This is my second best coin hunting day so far. I have hunted there a few other times but I usually end up with one keeper so I never bothered posting. I don’t hunt this place too often because it has been pounded a lot and the amount of signals is just so overwhelming that makes you want to pull your hair out :BangHead: I cleaned the coins since I couldn’t read the dates. The seated was in horrible and took forever to clean. Both of my seated dimes are quite toasted and this one is in way better shape. Thanks for reading and happy hunting.

It finally let me post more pictures.

It’s going to be hard but I will try my hardest and hope for the best. I still need to go hunt some hill slopes. HH

Look at the back of the SLQ. Are there 3 stars under the eagle? 1916 is the only one with no stars. Gary

There’s stars under the eagle, will post a pic of the back. HH

That spot would be my go to spot for, well, until the carpet of signals you speak of are gone. Congratulations on a super hunt and may that second gold coin pop out soon. Hint.....it's under a pull tab....lol

I only go there when I have to so I don’t go crazy with all the signals. If I actually dug every signal there I would probably be looking at 250 junk to one somewhat ok keeper :BangHead: it’s still fun to take the challenge once in a while. HH
