I found a old dump and starting to find some old stuff!!ps the brown bottle is stoddard bottle dug three of them

Keep digging Good dump To bad the mineral water is busted the tops with cork on them are from A-1 type bottle

Incidentally, how are you protecting the glass platten on your scanner from the grit on these old bottles?

I really dont care if scratch the scanner glass the wife doesnt use it and if the computer usb port's hook up's i would taking picture's instead.

...............How old are the glass Bottle stoppers??.....When you locate a bottle dump site..............How do you hunt it?? Do you use a Rake, a Hoe, small shovel, do you use a sifter, gloves?? If the dump covers a large area................how do you determine where to start??...........Sorry for all of the questions!!.......How do you date an old cork bottle??...............Joe
