Sterling Ruby Ear Ring...Curious Makers Marks ?

Found this piece on the beach tonight. When I got home took a closer look and it had some interesting marks on it.

Read about rubies trying to figure if the stone was real, I'm thinking it is real. The workmanship is really nice along with these marks...made me think the stone was real.

I've tried to do some research on the marksmaybe Russian? Any Thoughts?

It does indeed look like Russian hallmarks, with the silver standard mark on the right in use from 1994. The one on the left appears to provide a maker's mark and/or assay office. Nice find!

Thanks VP for your research....It got me going in the right direction. I believe the B on the left of the head represents 1974. Still not sure what the other smaller marks mean?

It is my understanding that the date mark on your piece (:5) dates the earring to 1995.
