I was digging in a privy last week and kind of got discouraged because all the glass was 1920s stuff so I backfilled it and walked away kind of bummed. Reached out to another treasure hunter in the forum (there are some real "GEMS" in here wink wink) and realized I wasn't being persistant enough so went back and dug three feet deeper and hit a second layer of glass and rescued this beauty. Thanks for taking time out of your busy day to look :). Happy Easter and never stop searching!

It's really great to hear that you casted that crappy attitude aside and returned to get that keeper. Congratulations

my iphone updated and now I dont get Tnet alerts so sorry for crickets here on the responses, thanks for looking and support god bless & take it light....puns encouraged here pepperman:) take care guys

A great find !

It definitely had a soft landing where it ended up. I only find chunks and pieces in the wheat field behind me. It was once a trash heap that later meet the plow again and again and again. I've never tried my hand at privey digging, but can only believe there's got to be some really interesting artifacts left to be found in so many out there.

Very nice jug. Age?
thank you, thinking 1880s based on surrounding stuff could be wrong hard to tell on unmarked pottery sometimes but found a little slick blown in mold applied lip medicine right next to it influencing my guess. Take care:)

thanks Tamrock...I bottledump dug as a kid but never got into privy digging until this winter so kind of new to me but hopefully should have a few more interesting holes to dig later this year. I am switching from woods hunts to more parks and water hunts as weather changes so prolly trading glass for gold soon (well hopefully). Thanks for looking, good luck on your own aventures and picking those antiques! this is funny, I dug a boy on a privy (ceramic) in a privy last week, lol.

That's an interesting little bisque figure. There's quite a few photos of some fascinating finds dug from old privy's seen online, which are fun to veiw.
