Story on news about a Civil War ID ring found with detector

[rastinirv]

This was just broadcast on the DC Fox affiliate. At first I thought it was about the ring that was just found and posted here on Tnet; turns out it was a different one. Nice story!

To clarify, I'm not the one who recently found the ID ring. I wish I had found it, but it was Mark1985 who unearthed it

WELLLLL butter my butt and callll me a biscuit this is the guy who a lot were talking about three years ago when he found this ring similar too Mark1985s. I have actually talked too this guy @ a civil war shop in Stafford but never saw the ring! Close too home for me. Fredericksburg/Stafford area. Now I need too go find a ring

Great story, if I found one I'd definitely try to track down the family as well to return it.

Thanks for posting the story--nice to know this gentleman worked so hard to return the ring to the next of kin and was duly rewarded on many levels!
