Hey guys & Gals ,, The mail just came and dropped off my new ANDERSON Straight shaft .. What a sweet set up .. I converted the stock shaft to work the same way and what a huge difference . I know alot of you are anti Fisher BUT, I happen to like them . and you all know I have had a lot of the good ones, Excal and Sandshark ,,I still have my SOV Gt and its the best of the Fleet .That and my Cz 20.. anyway you CZ owners Check it out ... Guzz1

Nice Guzz.I liked my CZ20.I used it at times in the balanced position,but
found it hard to reach the knobs quickly.Liked to hunt in autotune,then
switch to disc to check the target.In regular position it was just a flick
of the thumb.Someone used to make a trigger set-up for under the rod
mount.Hunt in auto,pull the trigger to check in disc,then release and it
went back to auto.Cool set-up,but you had to mount the detector
backwards on the rod and remove the disc knob and attach the trigger
mechanism.Also be careful of setting the detector down in that configuation,
as it can scratch up the top(now bottom).Nice machine.Hope you make

That looks pretty cool there Guzz. Makes a huge difference in the look compared to the high mounted stock shaft.

Someone may have already mentioned this, but how does the lower shaft feel? On my CZ-21 with the stock shaft the lower part feels a little sloppy with the 10 1/2 inch coil, but I am tall and have to extend it most of the way out. I think they make it this way so the sand doesn't lock up the shaft on you as easily. Just curious.

I wish they offered the mount by itself so I didn't have to purchase the $120 upper rod.

Well, I'll examine the mount under the cz20 housing...I'm good with electronics but my mechanical/spatial aptitude is limited. If it can be achieved with a couple of ss hose clamps or sisal twine, I should be able to do it, if it requires machining a plastic or metal planchet to spec within mm tolerance, i'm at a disadvantage.
