okay, well back to my old site I found a strange button, it has a post on the back that has no marking, but the front is very ornate. anyone have a clue?? as to what style this is called, I searched online but have found the people here better then google .
1909 barber was a nice find, just love old silver, I never show wheat's but this is the oldest wheat I have found to date. usually there always in the 40's. Any help on the button would be great..so please feel free to reply with any info on it. The site dates back to the late 1600's I know its not that old but it is an odd one since the design is raised and the color added like an enamel fill in or something like that. 3/4 inch diameter

I'd bet it's off a fancy cloak.

I think the collar button or stud is correct, thanks for the suggestion. I looked it up and saw pictures of collar button, it matches the old style.
Funny thing is wiki does not have collar buttons on it ...so i just added it. this should be fun.
