Idk if it’s correct but projectile points are saying Florida has Copena types located there now. I always thought they were just my area and north. And I’m not saying that’s what you have

Looks like they tried to remove the stack but couldn’t get it off. Probably would have been fluted.
I have a few I’ve found that nobody knows what they are for sure. And if they don’t know their response is usually oh that’s some kind of Copena. I’d rather hear them say I’m not sure.

Is the other side flat or somewhat flat?
Yes, it was flat. I don't have a pic of the other side & I gave the point to my co worker. She was finding a lot of sharks teeth on the site as well. I think it is a Simpson point. Not heat treated and very old.

Looks like a unifaced paleo blade.. they are only worked one side hence the uniface name, usually a little thinner, but still nice.

I grew up in Hillsborough County, went to Hillsborough High school.

So much great stuff has come from Hillsborough County. Son Anderson has an incredible collection of artifacts from there and surrounding counties.

I might be wrong but didn’t Son Anderson pass away recently? I met him on FB. Seemed like a great guy

Yes, sadly Son passed away January 25 of this year. He was 81. His obituary is online. He had probably the best collection of Florida & Georgia artifacts anywhere.
Definitely agree, I was a member on his forum years ago. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.
