Found this at an old wooded cellar hole that I have spent hours hunting without anything to show for . Finally found something interesting .
Any ideas what this was representing ? Thought maybe some fraternal organization ? I m not sure if those are letters at the top or not JAAAAAR or JAAAAAA ? Its silver color and theres nothing on the back.

The hybrid mythological creature on the medallion is a "Lammasau" or a "Sedhu" which is an ancient Mesopotamian creature revered for its power and ability to protect people or their homes. Man's head, Lion's body, and eagle's wings. Very strange that it would end up in a foundation in Ohio! All in all, worn as a good luck charm. Cool find, Happy Hunting, Sub 8-)
