Strange Rock

Found this strange rock with what i think is fossils all over it.It sits all by itself in the middle of the woods no other large stones anywhere near by.Someone has told me it could be markers of some kind.what do you all think fossils?? markers??

Looks like fossil structure to me. Don't see any evident chisel markings.

fossils is what i thought too.they appear to be fossils of wood or boards, at least its what it looks like to me
