Rock treasure maps

I must be looking at your avatar in a different view, I see a puppy dog facing right.
Finally , yes that’s right! Thank you! Pic is a little fuzzy , my fault, dog is a Spanish icon used frequently.

Really you don’t see numerous closed u shapes with tail in his left eye and next to it? How about a bunch of them lower left along bank of river! That’s penciled In just like dogs nose lower lip, eye , incised groove indicating creek? Problem here is I know the layout of the land there and y’all don’t . Hot springs , don’t you know that mark as such, huh!wow! I guess this is a etch a sketch rock huh!😆🙄

No, but then again I'm blind in one eye and can't see out the other. :laughing7:

every week we get a new member with an amazing treasure map that only he can see, when no one agrees they start name calling. this week's member is you. you won't be here long acting like you do.

I never insinuated anything negative with your posts, just that I wasn't seeing what you were seeing. The fact that you resort to insulting your readers when they don't give you the answer you seek indicates anti social behavior that won't stand long on TreasureNet.

Has anyone ever found a rock (treasure map)? that has micro fossils throughout and Spanish treasure marks all over it? They used the micro fossils to enhance location, deposit types , shafts , depth etc. some markings others are incised some are faint black pencil marks. I read they had graphite-clay pencils during this era. Any input would be appreciated.
I don't know if you're serious or pulling our leg, it's long past April 1st. Assuming serious, my question is why in the world would anyone use such a method for making a treasure map that you then can't even read. Seems as silly as some others who like to believe the Spaniards carved huge rock formations or even entire mountains for marking treasure locations. Neither is realistic. Pareidolia explains both.

I haven’t shown the large detailed map , started with just a little conglomerate rock of a dog with the most productive creek shown on big map that is running between his ear and head. We found two small nuggets just southwest of there. It corresponds geographically with google earth and larger map. I don’t know why it’s so tiny. But was found near larger one. Wanted some input, ideas , got belittled, laughed at etc. thanks treasurenet. Baylor wants to look at it so I’ll take it to them.

Everyone I have showed it to here see”s the dog perfectly well , if you zoom in to upper left hand corner you will as well.

My avatar is the dog zoomed in.

Oh really? 3 people see it on this site, everyone here where I live see’s it as well. How very strange.

Not true, was just asking these people if the saw puppy dog and the criticism , laughing began. I responded so what. Just asked a question. Baylor responded and want to see both.my avatar is showing dog zoomed in.

Who wants to talk to people who immediately jumped all over me for asking a question. I told them my avatar is dog zoomed in. Large red ear , black nose and eyes , liower lip . Left eye is where a large hot spring once was . We found two bb size nuggets just southwest of there , it imatches up with google earth. Black marks are old hot springs , which are numerous. . S. W. Along river and to the left of dogs head are more. I responded to criticism, laughing and down right silliness. So what, you wouldn’t?

The Spanish treasure fleet as such operated until 1790. Pure graphite pencils had existed since 1560, but clay and graphite pencils didn’t exist before 1795 (invented by Nicolas-Jacques Conté). The Spanish Empire continued to operate a trade route between the Philippines/Spanish East Indies and Mexico until 1815 though.

Looking at the pictures you posted on your other thread (reproduced below) where you claim the rock has “numerous Spanish markings” and say “I don’t think there is any doubt it is real”, I’m afraid I would have to disagree. I see an ordinary conglomerate rock with no apparent evidence of microfossils, nor a treasure map.

This not that map, just a small conglomerate highlighting apparently one of the better spots that is on the large detailed map . My original wording did confuse I realize. Just was asking if anyone sees the dog and what they thought, and here comes the criticism, laughing and silliness. Contacted Baylor and they ARE interested in seeing it.

I believe that you didn’t mean to insult me now , but I was not a bit upset because I wasn’t getting the answer I wanted, it was the immediate criticism, laughing and silliness that I received for asking a question. Conglomerate with dog face is highliting best creek I guess in area , which is but a small area on larger more detailed map. We found two small nuggets just southwest of there. Creek is crease between big red ear and dogs head. Corresponds with google earth and larger map I have . My Avatar is dog which is in upper left if you zoom in a little. My buddies are laughing wondering if critics cannot follow instructions , or if color blind or what?

Joepaul....what is it you are looking to achieve here?

If you have a spot where there is lots of gold, then why aren't you mining it?

If you are looking for validation of your theory, that effort has failed. The good
folks here have hundreds of years of experience (combined), and they fail to
see what you believe is there. Accept it.

Your best bet is to go mine that gold and then show the proof of your theory.

oh, I see the dog, that's not what I meant, I meant I'm not seeing it as a treasure map. Gold nuggets are a natural occurrence; gold coins would be buried treasure. I'd love to see these gold nuggets if you have time to post them. and What I said about new members with maps is true and could relate to the responses you'll receive. looking back over the post I fail to see anything harsh or triggering.

Reading rocks as maps wants maps appllied to rocks.
The why of a map secondary but still important.
Many maps are not on rocks.
Portability for one reason.
And most parchment, animal skins, paper , clay tablets ect. don't accidently get thrown at a squirrel as easy.

Let's pick up a rock and utilize inclusions in it.
First we need to align the rock/map in some manner. Or have 4 or more different maps per side as each angle is a new map. Which way is up? (A Richard Prior movie.)
Is it North as a map should be?

A key to interpret features is next. Otherwise the map is single user. In which case who needs a map?
Then there is era and context of who is most likely to use such a map.
Given the lack of optometrists back when that leaves only young people of good eyesight to squint at ant tracks. Not that average life spans were great.
Which begs the why of intensive time and labor to scribble on mountains , boulders, rocks , stones, pebbles , single grains of (squint) sand.

I wanna rock!

The only comment I want to make is the OP keeps telling us to look at his Avatar and yes I see the dog...BUT the photo is too small to see the smaller details he wants us to see, even when I try and enlarge it, it can only be enlarged so much.
It would help greatly if he just posted a larger photo so we might see some of what he sees.

And also the larger "map" he keeps saying he will post.
