Rock treasure maps

Has anyone ever found a rock (treasure map)? that has micro fossils throughout and Spanish treasure marks all over it? They used the micro fossils to enhance location, deposit types , shafts , depth etc. some markings others are incised some are faint black pencil marks. I read they had graphite-clay pencils during this era. Any input would be appreciated.

I would only surmise that all of the inscriptions in lead pencil would be unreadable by now !

Yes, graphite and clay mix adhere to the rock much better.

The Spanish treasure fleet as such operated until 1790. Pure graphite pencils had existed since 1560, but clay and graphite pencils didn’t exist before 1795 (invented by Nicolas-Jacques Conté). The Spanish Empire continued to operate a trade route between the Philippines/Spanish East Indies and Mexico until 1815 though.

Looking at the pictures you posted on your other thread (reproduced below) where you claim the rock has “numerous Spanish markings” and say “I don’t think there is any doubt it is real”, I’m afraid I would have to disagree. I see an ordinary conglomerate rock with no apparent evidence of microfossils, nor a treasure map.

This is but a tiny version of larger map of two river basins that I know well. Just a conglomerate with a small creek in one basin that holds flour gold with smaller chunks. I will post pic of the larger greatly detailed one at a later date when I get some post worthy shots . Magnification of this map I am talking about is hard to believe and hard to photograph . Good detail and numerous marks just looking at it, but when photographed and enlarged shows micro fossils manipulated into the mix of deposit locations, trails, shafts etc. never seen anything like it.

Sorry, rock looks like natural conglomerate in picture, when picture is blown up see no signs of man's touch.

I don’t see a man either but I do see a dog with a mark in his left eye where a known collapsed hot spring is, as well as lesser ones off to the side.just holding rock and looking at it , hard to see, zoom in and there it is.

The one thing you're right about is that it certainly is hard to see.

His picture is right by my name redcoat , joepaup26v. Look at pic zoom in a little , it’s in upper left corner.my friends and family have no trouble seeing it. My photography needs to get better I admit.friend found two small nuggets where creek hits river, he got 317.00 for the little rascals at a pawn shop.best producing creek in area run’s between dogs ear and his head, little out of focus. Ancient hot spring area.

Yes, it’s called ‘pareidolia’ and what you see has nothing whatsoever to do with manipulation of microfossils to create treasure maps.

Really, you don’t see pencil marks in left eye and black ,nose lower lip ? Those tank -like marks with squiggly line hanging off them are indicative of ancient hot springs . More lower left along river, a line of them , been there . Next I guess I’ll hear that gold doesn’t occur around hydrothermal vents.country is pock marked with them.

Exuse me , but i said my larger rock map I’m going to post later in the week has the microfossils and treasure marks ,when I get better at my photography I’ll post . My wording didn’t quite convey that originally , just showed dog marking one of best locations , thinking a blind man could see that for starters.it’s just tiny conglomerate highlighting one of the better sites.microfossils and markings,letters and numbers yet to come.it’s made from dirty limestone with microfossils layer after layer as they are formed on the sea floor. The pareidolia quote is hilarious 😆 no problem blowing that up😆 stay tuned couch king and wipe off those glasses!
