🔎 UNIDENTIFIED Strange thick metal rod

OK, so I’ve only recently taken up metal detecting. I was out in my backyard, and I found this buried 2-4 inches down.

I actually caught everything on video. I was recording to show you all my metal detecting session when this happened.

Any idea what the thing is or was? All I can guess is that it is a very heavy, very thick piece of a metal rod. I have no idea what it was for, though.

Some background of where I found it. My house used to be a church in 1950. After that, it belonged to a school. Afterwards, three people owned it, and now my family owns it. I live in Idaho, by the way. About 40 minutes from Twin Falls.

If someone can help me figure out what this is, I would really appreciate it.

I failed to add, one part of it seems to be cut, as one side is at a slight angle.
