Well I lucked up this weekend and came upon a decent size street tearout near downtown.
The area used to have a trolley running through it. I managed to find a pic of it online too.
Ended up with 3 nickels and a 14K gold ring with inscription Saturday.
Was also able to take some really nice pavers home.
Went back Sunday to see if I couldn't get more pavers and a piece of the track that was ripped out. Any detecting finds would just be a bonus.
Ended up with a bent 1885 seated dime, some more brick, and a 5' section of trolley track, which was all I could lift by myself.
There was no effort being made to save the brick and the track was likely going to the scrap-yard, so I decided to save a little bit of some local history.
