Anyone have any luck metal detecting where they stripped for coal? In and around the shale rock piles/layers. Had to move something around

Probably not enough gold in coal to detect, but here is an interesting article:

I have done much better around upturned shale in a historic gold area. It tends to be a gold trap, even if the gold did not originate there.

I'm not really near anywhere that has alot of gold that's why I was thinking if they moved all that dirt I might have a chance of finding some
