STUNNING ROMAN SILVER !!!!

[Silver Searcher]

Hi All......spilt beer on my key board last night hence the delay in posting my weekend finds, and again it turned out to be a Silver weekend I kicked off the search with a couple of hammered Silver coins of Edward 1 in reasonable condition this takes my hammered count to 33 for the year the first Roman Silver turned out to be my best ever a stunning Antoninus Pius AD138-161 with superb detailing, the second Silver turned out to be his wife Faustina (died AD141) together again after over 1600years

Jealousy,
here in Oz we only have 238 years of metal history, my oldest coin is a 1797 cartwheel penny, and then I have a huge gap to
1813 with a nice sixpence.
Looking forward to a long holiday in the UK and Europe.
Beautiful finds well done.

Hi....1797 coin is still a good find I still get a kick when I find a Cartwheel Penny, do you do any Gold Nugget hunting over there

[Centralvic]

Yeah, nuggets still come out of the ground if you persevere, but gold hunting is about money not treasure and does not interest me as much. Good Luck
