Took advantage of the nice day by taking off work and getting back to the newly found colonial farm field site. Got a big whatsit at the top of the picture as well as some other typical colonial finds including a nice etched tombac button. Eventually got on another George II Hibernia copper as well. I then wandered about 50 yards away from concentration of finds and hit a banging coin like signal around 27 on the Nox. You can understand my shock when out popped a beauty of a 1764 1 Real.:headbang: My first ever 1 real of this variety. I promptly headed to the truck knowing Ill probably not top this coin all year

Thanks. I did find a well worn globes and pillars 1/2 real years ago. They are hard to come by for me at least

Very nice Spanish 1 real
My very first Spanish silver found 30 years ago is the exact same coin, down to the date and the mint mark. You can see it at the bottom right in this picture with the other Spanish I recovered at this site. It too was in amazing shape.

That must have been an amazing site to dig. Im usually lucky to find one Spanish silver at my colonial sites. Water sites excluded

Well Toasted, I'd call that a BANNER.

It was a great site and very old for my area. Over 50 coppers and only one was a KG III. The others were King William III, George I and II. But I have hunted two other sites where I got more Spanish.

Very nice stuff! :icon_thumright:
That appears to be a sword hilt in one photo

Congratulations on a great hunt toasted! That is a gorgeous reale!

Cool finds for sure! Congrats on the Reale
