"Success today at my first competition hunt."

I had a good day at the 20TH annual competition hunt held by the " Chesapeake Society of Treasure Hunters" at Sandy Point State Park on the beautiful Chesapeake bay. I found about $9.00 in clad around 125 coins and two tokens for the day. One token netted a nice silver dollar "1926". The second netting a detector Yes I won a Fisher 1212X. This club runs a great hunt and I would recommend it to everyone.

In those club hunts I have found that speed is of great importance. I tried to do them with my GTI 2500 but it was just too heavy so I switched to my ACE 250 and did much better as I could move faster. But I came along behind a couple of those real speed demons and found some tokens they had missed, so you really kinda' have to develop a pace, fast but not too fast. Monty
