My First Seated Half Dollar Today!

Making hay while the sun shines, I decided to head out to one of the California ghost towns I like to hit once in awhile.
It was around 55f and sunny today.
I was kinda cheating today with my Harbor Freight magnetic pic-er-upper to try and toss the cans and nails away enough to get through.
I had been hunting for a few hours without anything interesting to speak of, and then I got a good clear quarter signal in between some iron grunts. Blam! Up comes a sweet 1898-s quarter! (I didn't get pics out there because I rode my electric cheater bike out there and didn't want to lose my phone.)

Now I have hunted this spot several times, and really went slow through it the last time, but I was using the new-to-me "NoBS" program on the D2 that @Conito@55 turned me on to.
Very happy with that, I got up and started swinging again. Only about 8 feet away I got a screaming aluminum can-like signal. I went to dig the offending can just to get it out of the way, but saw a grey disk for just a split second in the dirt. Got out the pinpointer and boom!, popped out my first seated half!

It was pretty dirty, and worn, and a fairly common one, so I decided to give it a good cleaning when I got home.

It absolutely helped. The area was a bed of rusty cans, couldn't swing there at all. Raking would probably be faster, but too hard to carry on on the bike, which is the only way to get there.
