Well, I finally did it. After over 53 years of metal detecting, I managed to detect and recover a gold coin! Not just any old gold coin, but, a real old gold coin. It's a Celtic quarter stater, initially identified as a Dubnovellaunus from 25 BC to 5 BC. I had to go to England to do it, but, that was half the fun! I also found all sorts of other items too, and I'll post some more photos when I get the time. Right now, I'm still on cloud 9.

Way to go. 53 years to wait in finding a gold coin is way to long! I've been at it for 13 years now and still no gold coin. Hopefully I don't have to wait as long as you did.
