We had a hot and wet summer here in northern Middle Tennessee. A cool front last night dropped temperatures from 91 mid-week to the 50s this morning. Doug and I scouted a new site on a large property. In less than an hour, we located where relics were present. We dug 3 three ring bullets, Merrill Carbine bullet, .44 Colt conical Colt pistol bullet, and 3 .36 cal. pistol balls. We dug a few iron relics and Doug recovered what appears to be a brass mainspring piece from a Springfield rifle. He also nearly went into cardiac arrest with a brass oval relic in the bottom of the hole that looked like plate until he saw it was a brass cow tag! Not our best hunt but it was fun to kick off the fall season with a successful scouting trip. Enjoy the video & happy hunting! Doug & Quindy.
