Sold a ring for $1000.00. Never had a sale this high before. And I'll mention it was about 8pm and I'm waiting for payment still. But should i do anything besides sig confirmation and insurance? It is a 14k gold ring. Thanks.

I'd ship it express mail with sig and ins. Least chance of getting lost with express even if it costs a bit. I make jewelry and often ship this way. They will have to sign for express anyways, no extra charge for that.

USPS will not pay out an insurance claim on lost precious metals/jewelry unless it is sent registered mail! If you send it USPS any other way than registered mail and it is lost, you will get nothing even if you pay for the insurance.
